Custodial and Non-Custodial Parents
Custodial and non-custodial parents are terms used in family law to describe the living arrangements of children after a separation or divorce. The custodial parent is the one who primarily cares for the child and with whom the child lives most of the time. This parent is responsible for day-to-day decisions and has physical custody. The non-custodial parent, on the other hand, typically does not live with the child but may have visitation rights and is often responsible for child support payments. Both roles are important in ensuring the child's well-being and development.
