Court Martial Law
Court Martial Law refers to the legal system used to try military personnel for offenses under military law. Unlike civilian courts, court martials are presided over by military officers and handle cases such as desertion, insubordination, or conduct unbecoming. There are three types of court martials—summary, special, and general—depending on the severity of the offense. Decisions can result in penalties ranging from reprimands to imprisonment. Court martial proceedings ensure that service members are held accountable while also providing protections and rights specific to military culture and discipline.
