Coronary Intervention

Coronary intervention is a medical procedure used to treat blocked or narrowed coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart. Commonly performed through techniques like angioplasty and stenting, it involves inserting a thin tube into a blood vessel to reach the heart. A balloon may be inflated to open the blockage, and a small mesh tube, called a stent, is often placed to keep the artery open. This helps restore blood flow, reduce chest pain (angina), and lower the risk of heart attacks, improving overall heart health.
