Continuity of Government

Continuity of Government (COG) refers to the measures and plans in place to ensure that government functions and leadership remain intact during emergencies, such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or other crises. It involves strategies to maintain essential government operations, protect key personnel, and facilitate decision-making even when normal structures are disrupted. The goal is to ensure stability and the continued provision of critical services to the public, safeguarding democracy and the rule of law in times of crisis.
