Conditionalization

Conditionalization, in the context of general knowledge, refers to the process of updating our beliefs when we receive new information. Imagine you believe it will rain tomorrow. If you then hear a weather report predicting rain, you strengthen your belief based on that report. Conversely, if the forecast predicts sunshine, you adjust your belief accordingly. This method allows us to refine our understanding of the world by incorporating new evidence, ensuring our beliefs remain relevant and accurate based on what we know at any given time.
