Conceptual Realism

Conceptual Realism is the philosophical view that abstract concepts, like numbers or properties (such as "redness" or "beauty"), exist independently of human thoughts and perceptions. In simpler terms, it suggests that these concepts are real entities, not just ideas we create in our minds. For example, the concept of "justice" exists as a true standard, regardless of individual opinions about what justice means. This perspective implies that our understanding of these concepts can be discovered rather than invented, akin to uncovering facts about the world rather than simply forming opinions about them.
