Competition climbing

Competition climbing is a sport where athletes compete to climb artificial rock walls with various routes and difficulties. There are two main formats: bouldering, which involves climbing shorter walls without ropes, usually with crash pads for safety, and lead climbing, where climbers ascend taller walls while being tethered to a rope. Competitors are judged based on speed, technique, and the difficulty of the routes they complete. Events often culminate in national and international competitions, including the Olympics, showcasing the athletes' strength, skill, and problem-solving abilities in a visually dynamic environment.
