Coagulation pathway

The coagulation pathway is the body's process for stopping bleeding when we get injured. It involves a series of proteins in our blood that work together in a step-by-step manner, much like a domino effect. When a blood vessel is damaged, these proteins activate, leading to the formation of a sticky substance called fibrin, which creates a clot to seal the wound. This process is crucial for preventing excessive blood loss and begins almost immediately after an injury, ensuring that healing can occur effectively.
