Clean and Jerk

The clean and jerk is a two-stage Olympic weightlifting move. First, in the "clean," the lifter lifts a barbell from the ground to their shoulders in one swift motion, demonstrating strength and technique. Next, in the "jerk," they push the bar overhead to full arm extension, typically by quickly splitting or standing their feet apart and locking out. This combined movement tests total power, coordination, and technique. It's a highly skilled lift used in competitions to measure an athlete’s strength and explosive ability.
