Cientificos
Cientificos refers to a group of influential Mexican intellectuals and thinkers, primarily active in the early 20th century and closely associated with President Porfirio Díaz's regime. They aimed to modernize Mexico through science and rational thought, promoting education, industry, and public health. The Cientificos believed in applying scientific principles to governance and society, emphasizing progress and development. Although they contributed to advancements during their era, their ties to Díaz's authoritarian rule also led to criticism, as they were seen as elitist and disconnected from the struggles of ordinary Mexicans.
