Christopher McCandless
Christopher McCandless was an American hiker and adventurer who gained notoriety for his journey across the United States and ultimately into the Alaskan wilderness. After graduating from college in 1990, he abandoned his possessions, adopted the alias “Alexander Supertramp,” and sought solitude and a deeper understanding of life. His story culminated in 1992 when he was found dead in an abandoned bus, raising discussions about survival, personal freedom, and the allure and dangers of nature. His life and tragic end have been widely explored in literature and documentaries, including the book "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer.
