Christine of France

Christine of France (1606–1663) was a French princess and the daughter of King Henry IV of France and Marie de' Medici. She became the Duchess of Savoy through her marriage to Victor Amadeus I in 1619. Christine played a significant role in promoting the cultural and artistic development of the Savoy region. After her husband’s death, she educated her children and managed governance, showcasing her political acumen. Christine is also known for her patronage of the arts and her efforts to maintain the power and prestige of her family during a tumultuous period in European history.
