
Christine of France
Christine of France (1606–1663) was a French princess and the daughter of King Henry IV of France and Marie de' Medici. She became the Duchess of Savoy through her marriage to Victor Amadeus I in 1619. Christine played a significant role in promoting the cultural and artistic development of the Savoy region. After her husband’s death, she educated her children and managed governance, showcasing her political acumen.
