Chinese Communist Party History

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was founded in 1921, aiming to establish a communist state in China. Initially, it allied with the Nationalist Party against warlords but split in the late 1920s, leading to a civil war. After years of struggle, including the Long March (1934-1935), the CCP gained popular support, particularly during Japan's invasion in the 1930s. In 1949, the CCP, led by Mao Zedong, established the People's Republic of China. Over the decades, the party has faced internal challenges and reforms, evolving significantly under various leaders while maintaining strict political control.
