Children’s Commissioner for Scotland
The Children’s Commissioner for Scotland is an independent office that advocates for the rights and wellbeing of children and young people in Scotland. Established in 2004, the Commissioner promotes children's rights in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. They work to ensure that children’s voices are heard, influence policy and practice, and investigate complaints about services affecting children. The Commissioner also raises awareness of issues impacting children's lives, ensuring they have access to essential services, protection, and support. Their goal is to ensure every child’s rights are respected and upheld.
