
Cheonmachong
Cheonmachong, also known as the "Heavenly Horse Tomb," is a significant burial mound located in Korea, specifically in Gyeongju. Dating back to the Silla Dynasty (57 BC – 935 AD), it was built for an unknown king or noble. The tomb is famous for its distinctive shape and intricate artifacts, including a beautiful gold crown and pottery, which provide insight into the culture and beliefs of the period. The name "Cheonmachong" reflects the horse-shaped artifacts found within, symbolizing the importance of horses in Silla society.
