Charles XV of Sweden

Charles XV of Sweden, also known as Charles IV of Norway, was king from 1859 to 1872. He was part of the Bernadotte dynasty and known for his efforts to modernize Sweden and Norway, including reforms in education and infrastructure. Although he reigned during a time of relative stability, he was primarily a constitutional monarch with limited political power, acting more as a symbolic leader. Charles XV was also passionate about military reforms and supported arts and sciences. His reign helped shape modern Scandinavian history, bridging the constitutional changes of the 19th century.
