Charles Michel

Charles Michel is a Belgian politician who has served as the President of the European Council since 2019. In this role, he leads the meetings of European Union member countries' leaders, helps set the EU's overall political agenda, and represents the EU internationally. Prior to this, he was Belgium's Prime Minister from 2014 to 2019. Known for his diplomatic skills and leadership within European and national politics, Michel works to promote cooperation and address common issues such as security, economy, and climate change across Europe.
