Chanakya, also known as Kautilya, was an ancient Indian scholar, teacher, and strategist who lived around the 4th century BCE. He authored the Arthashastra, a comprehensive treatise on politics, economics, statecraft, and military strategy. As a chief advisor to Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, Chanakya played a key role in unifying India and establishing the Mauryan Empire.
