Champagne AOC
Champagne AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) is a designation for sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France. It indicates that the wine meets strict regulations regarding grape varieties, production methods, and geographical boundaries. Only wines made from specific grapes such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, and produced using the traditional "Méthode Champenoise," can be labeled as Champagne. This designation ensures quality and authenticity, distinguishing true Champagne from sparkling wines made elsewhere, which cannot use the name. The unique climate and terroir of the Champagne region contribute to its distinct flavor profile.
