CDU/CSU parliamentary group
The CDU/CSU parliamentary group is a coalition of two political parties in Germany: the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union (CSU). While the CDU operates nationwide, the CSU is active only in Bavaria. Together, they form a significant bloc in the Bundestag, Germany's federal parliament, often working in unison to shape government policy and legislation. The group emphasizes conservative values, such as social stability, family support, and economic growth, and has historically played a central role in German politics, including leadership in the federal government.
