Casting techniques
Casting techniques refer to methods used to shape materials, primarily metals and plastics, by pouring them into molds. The process begins by heating the material until it’s liquid and then pouring it into a mold that defines the desired shape. Once the material cools and solidifies, the mold is removed, revealing the finished product. Common casting techniques include sand casting, where a mold is made from sand, and investment casting, which uses a wax pattern that is melted away. These methods are widely used in manufacturing for creating complex shapes efficiently and cost-effectively.
