Carlos Marighella

Carlos Marighella was a Brazilian Marxist revolutionary, politician, and writer, born in 1911. He is best known for his role in opposing the military dictatorship in Brazil during the 1960s. Marighella articulated a theory of urban guerrilla warfare and wrote the influential "Mini-Manual of the Urban Guerrilla," which outlined strategies for political resistance through unconventional means. His approach emphasized the importance of small, organized groups conducting acts of sabotage and disruption against oppressive regimes. Marighella was killed in 1969, but his ideas have sparked debate on revolutionary tactics and resistance movements worldwide.
