Carib Indians

The Carib Indians, also known as the Kalinago, are indigenous people primarily found in the Caribbean islands, particularly Dominica and St. Vincent. Historically, they were known for their seafaring skills and resistance to European colonization in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Caribs are distinguished from other indigenous groups by their language, culture, and social structures. They traditionally engaged in fishing, agriculture, and hunting. Today, the Carib community strives to preserve their heritage, promote cultural education, and advocate for their rights while facing challenges from modern development and historical injustices.
