Cape Colony
Cape Colony was a historical territory in what is now South Africa, initially established by the Dutch in 1652 as a resupply station for ships traveling to Asia. It became a hub for agriculture and trade and was later taken over by the British in the early 19th century. The colony experienced significant migration and cultural shifts, leading to conflicts with Indigenous peoples and settlers. It played a key role in the development of South Africa, influencing its social, political, and economic landscape. Cape Colony eventually became part of the Union of South Africa in 1910.
