Canadian International Development Agency
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) was a government agency responsible for managing Canada's foreign aid programs. It focused on reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development in developing countries through financial assistance, projects, and partnerships. CIDA aimed to improve education, health care, and economic opportunities in these regions. In 2013, CIDA was merged into Global Affairs Canada, which now oversees Canada's international development efforts, combining diplomacy, trade, and aid under one umbrella to enhance Canada’s global engagement and effectiveness in addressing international challenges.
