British Commonwealth
The British Commonwealth, now known simply as the Commonwealth, is a political association of 54 member countries, many of which were formerly part of the British Empire. It promotes cooperation, trade, and cultural exchange among its members, which include the UK, Canada, Australia, India, and many others. The Commonwealth values shared principles like democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Each member is independent, but they work together on common goals and issues, fostering a sense of community and collaboration across diverse nations. The Commonwealth Games, a sporting event, is one of its most visible activities.
