Brazilian Government
Brazil is a federal republic with a presidential system. Its government comprises three branches: Executive (led by the President), Legislative (National Congress, divided into the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate), and Judicial (courts, including the Supreme Federal Court). The President is both the head of state and government, elected for a four-year term. Brazil has 26 states and one federal district, each with its own government. The Constitution guarantees various rights and freedoms, and elections are held regularly, promoting a democratic political environment. Brazil’s government addresses social issues, economic policies, and environmental challenges.
