Bose-Einstein Condensates (BECs) are a state of matter formed at extremely low temperatures, near absolute zero. At these temperatures, atoms slow down significantly and begin to occupy the same space and quantum state, behaving as a single quantum entity rather than individual particles. This phenomenon was predicted by physicists Satyendra Nath Bose and Albert Einstein in the 1920s. In a BEC, unique behaviors emerge, such as superfluidity, where the substance flows without viscosity. BECs provide insights into the quantum world and have potential applications in quantum computing and precision measurement technologies.
