Bones

Bones are the rigid, supportive structures that form the skeleton of our body. They provide shape, protect vital organs (like the brain and heart), and serve as attachment points for muscles, enabling movement. Bones also store minerals such as calcium and phosphorus, which are essential for various bodily functions. They are composed of a hard outer layer called compact bone and a spongy inner tissue that produces blood cells. Throughout life, bones continuously remodel themselves, balancing growth and decay to maintain strength and health.
