Bodoland
Bodoland is a self-governing territorial region in northeastern India, primarily inhabited by the Bodo people, an indigenous ethnic group. It was created to recognize their distinct cultural identity and address demands for autonomy. Bodoland covers parts of Assam and has its own administrative council, allowing for local decision-making on issues like development, education, and culture. The region has experienced a history of political negotiations, conflicts, and peace agreements aimed at promoting stability and respecting the rights of the Bodo community within the Indian federal system.
