Biological Resources Division
The Biological Resources Division (BRD) is part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and focuses on studying and conserving the nation's biological resources. It conducts research on ecosystems, wildlife, plants, and their habitats to inform conservation efforts and policy decisions. The division aims to understand and protect biodiversity, monitor species health, and address the impacts of environmental changes. By integrating science with resource management, the BRD helps ensure that natural resources are sustainably used and that ecosystems remain healthy for future generations.
