Bibracte

Bibracte was an ancient Gallic city located in what is now France, serving as a significant cultural and political center around the 1st century BCE. It was the capital of the Aedui tribe and played a key role during the Roman alliances and conflicts with other Gallic groups. The site includes well-preserved remains of ramparts, temples, and daily life artifacts, offering insight into Celtic civilization before Roman conquest. Today, Bibracte is an archaeological site and museum that helps us understand early European societies, their urban planning, and their interactions with expanding Rome.
