A Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) network is a type of artificial intelligence model used in machine learning, particularly for processing sequences of data like text or speech. Unlike standard LSTMs that read input data from start to finish, Bi-LSTMs read in both directions—forward and backward. This dual approach allows the model to capture context from both past and future information, leading to better understanding and performance in tasks such as language translation or sentiment analysis.
