Belmopan
Belmopan is the capital city of Belize, a small country in Central America. Established in the 1970s, it was built to replace Belize City after a hurricane damaged it. Belmopan is located in the western part of the country and is known for its planned layout, government buildings, and small population. Despite being the capital, it is not as large or bustling as other capital cities. Belmopan plays a central role in Belize's political and administrative activities and is home to various cultural sites, parks, and the University of Belize’s main campus.
