Government of Belize
The Government of Belize is the organization responsible for making and enforcing laws, managing public services, and representing the country internationally. It operates through three branches: the Executive (led by the Prime Minister who heads the government), the Legislature (Parliament, which creates laws), and the Judiciary (courts that interpret laws). Belize is a parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy, recognizing the British monarch as head of state, represented locally by the Governor-General. The government works to promote national development, maintain order, and serve the needs of its citizens within a framework of constitutional laws.
