Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway

The Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway is a major train line in China that connects the capital, Beijing, to Shanghai, one of the country's largest cities. Opened in 2011, it spans about 1,318 kilometers (about 819 miles) and allows trains to travel at speeds up to 350 kilometers per hour (about 217 miles per hour). This reduces travel time between the two cities to around 4.5 hours, making it a fast and efficient option for passengers. The railway is a significant part of China's modern transportation infrastructure, supporting economic growth and enhancing connectivity between key urban centers.
