Beer Hall Putsch
The Beer Hall Putsch was a failed attempt by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi followers in November 1923 to overthrow the German government in Bavaria. They aimed to seize power by force, rallying supporters at a beer hall and marching into Munich. The authorities responded with force, leading to a gunfight where several Nazis and police officers were killed. The coup's failure resulted in Hitler's arrest, during which he wrote *Mein Kampf.* Despite its failure, the event helped Hitler gain publicity, and he later used it as a foundation for the Nazi movement's rise to power.
