Battleground of Tarain
The Battles of Tarain were significant conflicts in Indian history, fought in 1191 and 1192, between the forces of the Ghurid Empire, led by Muhammad Ghori, and the Delhi Rajput ruler Prithviraj Chauhan. The first battle ended in a victory for Prithviraj. However, in the second battle, Ghori's forces defeated him, marking a turning point that led to the establishment of Muslim rule in northern India. These battles symbolized the clash of cultures and helped shape the subcontinent's political landscape in the following centuries.
