Ban Zhao

Ban Zhao was a Chinese historian, poet, and scholar during the Han Dynasty, living in the 1st century AD. She is most renowned for her work on the "Book of Han," which chronicles the history of the Han Dynasty. Ban Zhao was notable for being one of the first female historians in Chinese history and is also remembered for her writings on women's education and moral conduct, particularly her essay "Lessons for Women."
