Baikal Seal

The Baikal seal, also known as the nerpa, is a unique freshwater seal found only in Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia. It is the only pinniped species adapted to living in freshwater habitats. The seals have a rounded body, spotted fur, and can grow up to 1.5 meters in length. They primarily feed on fish and invertebrates and are known for their ability to dive deep into the lake.
