Ayoreo

The Ayoreo are an Indigenous people living in the gran Chaco region of Paraguay and Bolivia. They are one of the last uncontacted tribes in South America, meaning that many members have little or no interaction with the outside world. Traditionally, the Ayoreo are semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers, relying on the forest for food and shelter. Their culture, language, and ways of life are distinct, and they face challenges from deforestation and land encroachment. Efforts by various organizations aim to protect their rights and territory while respecting their desire to remain isolated.
