Attributed Emotion Theory
Attributed Emotion Theory suggests that our feelings are influenced by how we interpret a situation or event. When we experience an emotion, such as fear or joy, we often look for reasons or explanations for that emotion based on the context or our beliefs. For instance, if you hear a loud noise, you might feel scared and attribute that feeling to danger, but if you learn it’s just a car backfiring, your fear may lessen. Essentially, our emotions are not just automatic responses but are shaped by our understanding of the situation we face.
