Anne of Great Britain

Anne of Great Britain (1665–1714) was Queen of Great Britain and Ireland from 1702 until her death, and the first monarch of the United Kingdom after the political union of England and Scotland in 1707. She was known for her strong personal faith, involvement in political affairs, and for overseeing the Treaty of Union, which created the single kingdom of Great Britain. Her reign saw significant events like the War of Spanish Succession and the development of the modern cabinet government. Despite health issues and political challenges, her leadership helped shape the constitutional monarchy and the future of the British state.
