Anisometropia
Anisometropia is a condition where the two eyes have significantly different prescription strengths for lenses, meaning one eye may be nearsighted while the other is farsighted, or they may differ in degree of correction needed for clear vision. This disparity can cause issues such as double vision, difficulty focusing, or depth perception problems. It often requires specialized treatment, such as glasses or contact lenses, to help balance the vision between the eyes. If untreated, anisometropia can lead to further complications, including amblyopia, commonly known as "lazy eye."
