Anion Exchange Resins
Anion exchange resins are substances used to purify or separate negatively charged particles, called anions, from liquids. They consist of tiny beads made from a polymer that attract and hold onto anions through chemical bonding. When liquid passes through these beads, the anions in the liquid swap places with other negatively charged groups on the resin. This process is useful in water treatment, biochemical analysis, and various industrial processes to remove impurities or recover valuable minerals. Essentially, anion exchange resins help improve the quality of water and other solutions by selectively filtering out unwanted components.
