Animation Cel
An animation cel is a transparent sheet on which individual images or frames of an animated sequence are drawn or painted. These cels are layered over a static background to create the illusion of motion when the images are played in sequence. Traditionally used in hand-drawn animation, each cel represents a specific frame, and animators would create multiple cels for characters and objects to depict movement. This technique was essential in classic animation films before digital methods became prevalent, allowing for rich, detailed visuals in beloved animated series and movies.
