Anglo-Danish History
Anglo-Danish history primarily revolves around the interactions between England and Denmark, especially during the Viking Age (circa 8th to 11th centuries). Danish Vikings invaded and settled in parts of England, establishing the Danelaw, where Danish law and culture prevailed. In the 11th century, King Cnut of Denmark became King of England, uniting both crowns. Over the centuries, ties persisted through trade, the monarchy, and cultural exchanges. In modern times, relations have evolved into friendly diplomatic and economic partnerships, reflecting a shared history shaped by conquest, settlement, and eventual cooperation.
