Andromeda (mythology)
In Greek mythology, Andromeda is the daughter of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia of Ethiopia. Her mother boasted that Andromeda was more beautiful than the Sea Nymphs, which angered Poseidon, the sea god. As punishment, Andromeda was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to a sea monster. She was rescued by the hero Perseus, who killed the monster and later married her. Andromeda's story is a classic tale of beauty, sacrifice, and heroism, and she was later immortalized as a constellation in the night sky, symbolizing her enduring legacy.
