ANC (active noise cancellation)
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is a technology used in headphones and earphones to reduce unwanted ambient sounds. It works by using microphones to pick up external noises, such as traffic or chatter. The device then generates sound waves that are the exact opposite (or "anti-phase") to these noises. When the two sound waves meet, they effectively cancel each other out, reducing the volume of the outside noise you hear. This allows for a quieter listening experience, making it ideal for use in noisy environments like airplanes or busy streets.
