A Helmholtz resonator is a device that can amplify certain sound frequencies. It consists of a cavity (like a hollow space) connected to a neck or opening. When sound waves enter, the air inside the cavity vibrates, creating a unique resonance, similar to how blowing across a bottle creates a specific pitch. This resonance occurs at a particular frequency, making the resonator effective for tuning out or enhancing specific sounds.
